Spinning around

Joskus tuntuu, että en saisi mitään ikinä valmiiksi. Suhailen vain tekemässä vähän sitä, tätä ja tuota. Muutamia kuvia valmiista asioista parilta viime viikolta. :)

I have been literally spinning around doing a bit of this and that. Sometimes it feels like I won't ever finish off anything. Therefore random pictures of my handiworks :)
 

 

Navajo plied superwash merino 110g / 115m.

Cabin block pillowslip. I am planning to make more pillowslips using same technique and some day I hope another quilt.

Spinning!

Fiber is superwash merino and bought from Etsy store Alchemy Fibre Arts. I spun it with my light drop spindle. I have still some fiber left but so far result is 85 grams and 315 meter. I am so proud of this!

Kuitu on Alchemy Fibre Arts kaupasta Etsysta ja superwash merinoa. Kehräsin sen kevyellä värttinälläni ja tähän mennessä valmista on 85 grammaa ja 315 metriä. Kuitua on vielä jäljellä, mutta oli pakko esitellä, koska olen niiiiin ylpeä tästä!

World keeps spinning around

I have been busy with my drop spindles. Fiber is wool from Villa Laurila and it's colour is natural grey. I don't know the breed but it was soft and smooth to handle.

 2-ply yarn, 89 grams and 325 meters.

 

I have bought fibers from Etsy (before Xmas). First one is from Alchemy Fibre Arts and I just love the vibrant colours of this superwash merino top.

These are from Limegreenjelly and purple is merino and green mix of merino, alpaca, baby camel and silk. They are so gorgeous that I don't know when I dare to try to spin them.
